Making money from home is a dream a lot of people have. And most people search endlessly for jobs that will pay you to work from home. But I say before you decide to work for someone else try starting your own thing. Yes, your own business. Now years ago starting your own business meant spending money that you really didn't have, to make money. But, that isn't really the case anymore. Having an online store means you don't have to pay for things like having a physical store. You literally take a picture of what you have and post it, and that's pretty much it!
Of course we've all heard of Ebay, but I've found it's best to put your items on multiple sites which will give more chances to sell much faster. Ebay of course is great and has really turned many people's lives around giving them the freedom to spend more time with their family and still make a living. And when I say a living I mean buying new homes, two cars, putting their kids through college. Yes, this is not at all chump change.
If you're thinking I don't know how to make crafts or I don't know what to sell. Guess what you don't have to make anything and you know exactly what to sell. Just look around in your house. Guess what those things did not come with the house, so yeah you bought them, which means someone sold them to you. But here's the big question why did you buy it from them and not from someone else selling them? There's really only 3 answers 1. Better price. 2. Better Quality. or 3. You just weren't aware of the other seller. So in other words let's picture your kitchen table. Let's say you bought it from Value City Furniture for $300. If you google right now I guarantee you that you will find that same kitchen table (or one really similar to it) for more or for less than what you paid for it. Let's say that you paid less for it. That means everyone else who buys it will be paying more than you. But what if you had a store online that sold that same table. Since you know where to get it for a lot cheaper. And let's say you priced it for just $1.00 under what Google has it priced at. Where would people buy from? So let's say Google has it listed at $450 and you price yours at $445. You know it will cost you $300 to buy so every time you sell one you will make $145. Now here you are making $145 from something you didn't make all you did was know where to find it cheaper. Now imagine you sell only 5 tables a month. That's $725 a month from posting a picture. Let's say you have 9 other items that you do this with. How much money are you making monthly?
The real beauty of this is that you can do it with clothes, food, furniture, whatever people buy. The sky is the limit. Ebay is not the only site. There are many more sites Mecari, Poshmark, Etsy. If you go to Google play or the Apple store in your phone there are even more.
Why does this work? Can't the buyer just go to Value City like I did? Yes, they can if they've ever heard of that store. Just because a store is in your town doesn't mean it's in every town. People that live up North don't know what Rite Aid is, but if you live down South you know it's a drug store just like Walgreens and CVS.
Remember this is just an example. Personally even though the table has great margins I would never invest that much into a product and also the shipping would be horrid. But some people do it everyday! As they say you have to find your niche and start running.
